In 2012, with the German Government support through KfW,Greenstar made the strategic decision to prioritize the provision of free of cost quality Mother and Child Health (MCH) and Family Planning (FP) services to poor and underserved women in those rural areas of Northern Punjab and KP where no public or private health facilities exist.
To implement the strategy, Greenstar established 10 Mobile Service Units (MSU) equipped with trained medical staff and necessary equipment to deliver quality healthcare services to hard-to-reach rural community.
This five years project served the unmet family planning needs of 125,170 women in the 10 districts. Greenstar implemented the Mobile Service Units (MSU) project in 10 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
