The primary focus of GSMP efforts is to promote and implement family planning and reproductive health. Because the organization’s network mainly comprise doctors therefore it also supports activities regarding mother and child health, nutrition, TB DOTS, malaria and HIV/AIDS prevention projects in Pakistan, with especial emphasis on low income married women of reproductive age, sexually active groups at risk of STIs/HIV/AIDS transmission.

With staff strength of more than 550 permanent and contractual employees, GSMP operates through its nationwide network of 30 fully equipped and fully functional zonal offices covering more than 100 districts of Pakistan. These zonal offices are assigned to three regional offices with South Region covering Sindh and Balochistan provinces, Central Region covering southern and central Punjab and North Region covering upper Punjab, NWFP, AJK and FATA.
